Michael G. Leahy, a former Maryland Secretary of Information Technology and State CIO, proposed these pledges to give voters clear, comparable answers from every General Assembly candidate on specific fiscal questions before they cast their ballots.
Amy Leahy, a candidate for Maryland Senate District 33 and Michael's wife, supports the pledges and has signed each one. Her campaign distributes the requests to candidates and publishes their responses.
